Library Hours:

The North South University Library is working hard to adapt to the rapidly changing circumstances during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, most Library locations remain open (with limited access for students) in order to help meet the needs of our students and faculty who may need access to our facilities, materials, and equipment in order to participate in and teach their classes remotely. However, our facilities are operating under reduced hours.

Library Study Spaces:

Access to all library study areas, including the study hall, is restricted for study until further notice.

Borrowing Materials:

At this time, the NSU library is not circulating (lending) physical items to the students. NSU faculty members are allowed to borrow books from the library. This is based on current professional guidelines about the attenuation period of the SARS-CoV-2 virus on library materials.

Returning library books during COVID-19 lockdown:

You are not expected to return books during the pandemic period, so please hold onto any items you currently have on loan and return them when the library reopens. Please inform the library officer when you have returned them, at the Library Circulation Helpdesk, to make sure the fines are removed from your account.

During this pandemic, please disregard any automatic email notices you may receive about the status of your loans.

Visiting the Libraries:

The North South University Library is continuing to follow all government advice and direction in its response to COVID-19, currently visiting the library physically is restricted for the students and visitors. Faculty members and University staff members can visit the library only for borrowing books and official purposes. We look forward to welcoming our regular students, alumni, and guest members when pandemic restrictions are lifted.
