A group of students and faculty members from the Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University, visited the North South University Library on Thursday, July 16, 2022. The purpose of the visit was to share the knowledge about the practical applications of existing NSU library services and research support programs with the students of the department that may contribute to improving academic and professional skills. The team was led by Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies and Library Management & University Librarian (In-charge), East West University. Mr. Abdur Rahaman Sumon, Lecturer in the same department, also took part in a library visit with this team.

Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain Shoeb, University Librarian, welcomed the team members and toured the entire library. To make this visit a success, Mr. Ziaur Rahman & Mr. Ashikuzzaman, Assistant Library Officer, NSU Library assisted the University Librarian round the clock.

During the short visit to NSU Library, Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain Shoeb also provided various directions on developing professional and academic excellence among the students. Team was pleased to share their knowledge and ideas regarding the current role of the modern library in research support and collaboration.

Finally, Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain Shoeb presented a copy of book “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh”  published by the North South University, and a copy of “The Unfinished Memoirs (Oshomapto Attojiboni)” to the participating faculty members and students, as a gift.
