‘Library Orientation Program: Fall 2019’ was held on 23rd, 24th, and 26th Sept. 2019, arranged by the NSU Library to provide an opportunity to become acquainted with all aspects of NSU library systems, services, resources, and facilities, along with Library rules and regulation for the new students of Fall-2019 semester. All new students were invited to attend the library orientation program at NSU Library, 4th Floor (Library Building), NSU Campus.
The program was organized for 3 working days. The orientation program was in two parts, presentation and library tour. The program was started at 10.30 am and ended at 4.30 pm on various slots.
All the Library professional officials were engaged in this session in several groups to provide basic instructions and hands-on training to the freshers. They explained the overall library service and systems and code of conduct of the NSU Library.
They also spoke on how students can borrow and return library resources by using RFID self-check and book-drop machine, how to browse, search, read and reserve library resources, renew borrowed books and check their borrowing status from their residence through the library website. At the end of every session, they had guided tours for several sections of the library.
