North South University Library organized a session on “Scopus, research metrics and its impact on NSU research” on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at NSU Syndicate Hall.

The university pro-vice-chancellor  Dr. M Ismail Hossain presided over the session while Vishal Gupta, senior customer consultant of South Asia and academic & government accounts, Elsevier, India was present as the keynote speaker.

NSU librarian Dr. Md Zahid Hossain Shoeb and all deans, chairs, directors (academic) and young faculty members from different departments were present in the programme.

The NSU Library has been using “Scopus”, an Abstract & Citation Database for NSU faculty members, researchers, and students since 2017. It helps to make the research workflow more efficient and empowers institutions to bolster performance, ranking, and reputation.
