The one-hour session was conducted by Mr. Rajiv Mahmud, Assistant Director, and Mr. Md. Ashikuzzaman, Library Officer, NSU Library. During the opening segment, Mr. Rajiv Mahmud provided an overview of essential library information, including membership procedures, circulation policies, library rules and regulations, and operating hours—ensuring students gained a clear understanding of how to effectively use library services.

This was followed by a series of practical, hands-on demonstrations led by Mr. Md. Ashikuzzaman. Students were guided on how to search for print resources using the NSU Library OPAC, access the library’s subscribed online databases and e-magazines both on campus and remotely, and navigate key research platforms. The session also introduced important research tools such as Scopus, Mendeley for reference management, OpenAthens for remote access, and the Grammarly registration process to support academic writing.

The program concluded with a guided library tour, during which students were introduced to major service points and facilities, including the circulation desk, reference section, reading areas, and digital resource centers. This tour familiarized participants with the physical layout of the library and encouraged them to make full use of its extensive academic resources and support services.
