The North South University Library is thrilled to invite the newly admitted students of the EMPG (6th & 7th Batch) to the upcoming Library Orientation program. This session will be held on Saturday, 01 March 2025, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the NSU Library Cyber and Audio Visual Section.

Why Attend the Library Orientation?

3. RFID System for Book Issue & Return: You will be introduced to the RFID system used in the NSU Library, which simplifies the process of borrowing and returning books. This technology speeds up the check-out and check-in process, making it more convenient for students to access the materials they need.
4. Online Journals & Ebook Databases: The orientation will also cover how to access online journals and databases from the library’s vast collection. With a focus on high-quality academic resources, you will learn how to search for peer-reviewed articles, research papers, and ebooks across multiple disciplines that are relevant to your EMPG coursework.
5. Research Tools: Scopus, Mendeley, and Turnitin: As part of the program, students will be introduced to essential research tools that are available through the library:
   • Scopus: A powerful tool for searching academic literature and tracking citations, Scopus will be invaluable in conducting literature reviews and exploring research trends.
   • Mendeley: A reference management tool that helps organize your research papers and citations. You will learn how to use Mendeley to streamline your research process and ensure proper citation.
   • Turnitin: The session will also highlight how to use Turnitin, an anti-plagiarism tool, to check the originality of your work and maintain academic integrity.
