The NSU Library celebrated the National Library Day on 5 February 2019 and continued different events till 9 February by a closing Seminar.

The Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof Atiqul Islam, Respected Pro Vice-Chancellor (D) Prof GU Ahsan inaugurated the day by cutting a cake in the Library. Both of them briefed the library family members regarding the importance of the special day, library services and library welfare.

The library was fully decorated by colorful balloons, festoon, banner etc. and arranged weekly special, instant and attractive services towards the students and faculty members. The students were well-come by chocolates and warm wishes.

All members of the NSU Library family were present in the Library day. One of the NSU student’s written book was opened by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof Atiqul Islam, Respected Pro Vice-Chancellor (D) in the Library.

The events ended up on 9 February ending by a National Level Seminar. Dr. Emran Kabir Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of Cumilla University, was present as the chief guest. Mr. Dilip Kumar Saha, DG of Department of Archives and Library, Mr. AKM Rezaul Karim, Director, National Book Center were the special guests in the seminar. Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain Shoeb, NSU Librarian delivered welcome address and Prof. Dr. GU Ahsan, Pro-vice chancellor (D) presided over the program. Among other deans, directors, chairmen of different departments, faculty members, officers and students were presented.
