A three-day-long training program on Automation and Digitization of Library by Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), organized by BALID Institute of Information Management (BIIM), Bangladesh Association of Librarians, Information Scientists and Documentalists (BALID) in collaboration with North South University (NSU) Library, was held in E-resources Access Centre of North South University Library from 24-26 April 2015. Twenty-seven library professionals of various public and private universities, organizations, and institutions in the country participated in this training program. The Certificate Award Ceremony of the training program was held at Faculty Conference Hall of North South University on Sunday, 26 April 2015 at 5:00 p.m. H. E. Rashed Khan Menon M.P., Honorable Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism was the Chief Guest and Ms. Akhtar Jahan M.P. and Honorable Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Benajir Ahmed, Chairman, Board of Trustees, NSU, and Professor Amin U. Sarkar, Vice-Chancellor, NSU were the Special Guests. Professor Gour Gobinda Goswami, Treasurer, NSU was present at the ceremony as the Guest of Honor. Dr. Mirza Mohd. Rezaul Islam, Chairman, BALID, and BIIM presided over the event. The welcome address was given by Mr. Shamsuddin Ahmed, Director, BIIM. Ms. Hazera Rahman, Deputy Librarian, South East University, Dhaka shared her experiences as a participant in the training program.
