North South University (NSU) Library in collaboration with Bangladesh Association of Librarians, Information Scientists and Documentalists (BALID) and BALID Institute of Information Management (BIIM) were organized a daylong training on “Plagiarism and Reference Management Software Zotero” in E-resources Access Centre, NSU Library on Saturday, December 19, 2015. A total of 40 (forty) librarians, teachers, and researchers of various government, autonomous, and private institutions in the country participated in this training program. In the different sessions of the training program, Mr. Minhajuddin Ahmed, Director, Centre for Information Studies discussed plagiarism and taught the plagiarism checking software Turnitin. Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, Assistant Librarian of Independent University, Bangladesh, A K M Nurul Alam, Assistant Director of Bangladesh Bank and Kazi Farhad Noman, Assistant Librarian of Southeast University taught the reference management software Zotero and Mendeley respectively. The certificate award ceremony of this training was held at Faculty Lounge of NSU at 6:00 pm where Prof. Dr. Gour Gobinda Goswami, Vice Chancellor (In-Charge), NSU was the Chief Guest, and Dr. Vasanthi Rajendran, Director, CIRDAP was the Special Guest. Dr. Arshad M Chowdhury, Chairman, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NSU was the Guest of Honor. Dr. Mirza Mohd Rezaul Islam, Chairman, BALID, and BIIM was the chair of the certificate award ceremony.
