NSU Library and Office of the Graduate Studies jointly organized a workshop, titled “Following the Research Workflow Using Scopus and Mendeley”on 24th April 2018, at 2.00pm at NSU(AUDI-801).

Prof. Gias U Ahsan, Vice-Chancellor in-charge, NSU, and Prof. Gour Gobinda Goswami, Treasurer, NSU were the Chief Guest and Special Guest of the event respectively.

Prof. Gias U Ahsan urged the faculty members to use Scopus to make NSU a leader in research in the country and globally. He also requested all faculty members to get the maximum benefit of subscribed research tools. Prof. Gour Gobinda Goswami delivered a valuable speech regarding the benefit of publishing in a high-impact peer-reviewed journal. He requested the faculty members to publish, not to perish their research outputs. Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain Shoeb, NSU Librarian, in his welcome speech mentioned the workflow of every research, for which faculty members and researchers had to groom up themselves and develop a culture for publishing in the Scopus indexed high impact journals for better citation and QS Ranking. Participation of a good number of Faculty Members, Dept. Chairs and Deans made this event successful.

Mr. Vishal Gupta, Elsevier, India facilitated an informative and interactive session for the faculty and research scholars.

The workshop ended with a Question/Answer session, and at the end of the session Professor Sharif Nurul Ahkam, Director, Graduate Studies, delivered the vote of thanks. Mr. M M Shoeb, Sr. Assistant Librarian anchored the whole program.
