To celebrate and showcase the rich history and culture of Bangladesh, NSU Central Library established the Bangladesh: History & Heritage Corner on 18th March 2021. This corner serves as a dedicated space where faculty, staff members, students, and researchers of the university can gain a comprehensive understanding of the history, culture, and glorious journey of Bangladesh’s independence and liberation war. The primary goal of this corner is to enrich the present generation with valuable information about the life and work of key figures, the cultural heritage, and the remarkable events that shaped the birth of Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh: History & Heritage Corner spans 1200 sqft and is home to a wealth of resources, including approximately 3000 books across 2100 titles. These books cover various aspects of Bangladesh’s culture, history, and the liberation war. In addition to the extensive collection of books, the corner also features over 100 documentary CDs that provide visual insight into the history of Bangladesh.
The section is designed to provide a comfortable and conducive environment for study with seating arrangements for up to 20 guests at a time, and desktop computers for academic use. Whether you are conducting research or simply exploring the cultural and historical heritage of Bangladesh, this corner is an invaluable resource.
