1. General Library Hours

1.1. Normal Semester Period:

• • Sunday to Thursday: 8:00 A.M. – 9:30 P.M.
  • Friday: 10:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
  • Saturday: 10:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.

The NSU Library is open seven days a week during the normal semester. (The library is closed on public holidays.)

1.2. Off-Semester Period (Semester Break):

• • Sunday to Thursday: 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Friday: Closed
  • Saturday: 10:00 A.M. – 04:00 P.M.

(The library is closed on public holidays.)

2. Closing Procedures

2.1. Pre-Closing Announcements:

• • 2.1.1. A warning bell will ring 30 minutes and again 15 minutes before closing time on all library floors to alert patrons about the impending closure.

2.2. Collection of Personal Items:

• • 2.2.1. Patrons must collect their bags from the designated region holes at least 5 minutes before the library closes.

2.3. Evacuation of Library Premises:

• • 2.3.1 All patrons must evacuate the library floors at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled closing time. During this time, library staff will begin shutting down all lights, air conditioning, and other facilities.

3. After Hours Policy

3.1. Retrieval of Personal Belongings:

• • 3.1.1. If a patron fails to collect their personal belongings from the pigeon hole before the library closes, they must retrieve them on the following day.
  • 3.1.2. No bags or personal items will be handed over to patrons after the library has closed.
